Redesigning Local Services Conference
Public Service Events
Author: Localis - Mar 29, 2012
Localis are delighted to be supporting Public Service Events’ second annual Redesigning Local Services Conference on 29th March 2012.
The government has set out plans for a radical transformation of public service provision, to be achieved alongside significant savings. The decentralisation of services to the lowest appropriate level as well as the opening of public service delivery to a wide range of providers helps to ensure fair access to services and greater user and taxpayer accountability.
The conference aims to join the dots between government policy in the shape of the Open Public Services agenda and the work that is already being done across the public sector. Putting policy into practice, this will be an excellent event for anyone involved in public service delivery.
The conference is taking place at Central Hall, Westminster, London and will feature a programme of high-profile speakers covering the latest policy developments as well as offering practical sessions detailing how innovative new services are being designed and delivered.
Confirmed Speakers:
Lord Adebowale, Chief Executive of Turning Point
Clive Betts MP, DCLG Select Committee
Geoff Connell, ICT Director at the London Borough of Newham
Councillor David Finch, Deputy Leader of Essex County Council
Ian Briggs, Senior Fellow, Senior Fellow, Institute of Local Government Studies (Chair)
John Craig, Managing Partner at Innovation Unit
