Reform of the social housing system
Posted in: Planning, Housing and Economic Development / Reform of the social housing system
This is a project about radically changing the current social housing system to give local authorities much greater control and flexibility over their housing stock. We will also look to address questions such as how to ensure that affordable housing is given to all those that need it, and how it can be funded. Core to our work on social housing is the need to create mixed communities rather than homogenous areas of deprivation.
