International Comparisons of Local Government

This is a project looking at the different forms of local government around the world, including levels of financial autonomy, representation in central government, and other freedoms which allow them to control and influence local policy for the benefit of communities as a whole. International comparisons have a huge part to play in making the case for the UK government to significantly devolve power.
